POSITION: SAP FI/CO Principal Consultant
LOCATION : Basle, Switzerland
SKILLS REQUIRED : Previous experience leading an SAP implementation in the Pharma domain – allied to experience successfully managing offshore resources. The ideal candidate would also possess significant soft skills, in particular managing senior Stakeholders and Business Heads to reach a consensual outcome.
CLIENT : Global Pharmaceutical company
CHALLENGE: The local and regional markets were long exhausted so a wider search was required to fill this role. Additionally, other Recruiting Firms had tried (and failed) to source for this role – so there was an element of market ‘exhaustion’ associated with this vacancy.
RESULT: Using a much broader and less recruitment-oriented approach (no databases – no point – they’d already been targeted), we made approaches to individuals visible on Social Media, other Internet sites (such as Blogs), Conferences etc. This broader approach opened up new markets, including candidates in Southern Europe, finally leading to the successful candidate (based in Spain) who was willing to relocate. Ultimately, the position was successfully filled – and the client was able to begin the process of getting their implementation back on track.
